EDUCATION AND CULTURAL PROJECT GRANTS
Te Keke Tura Moriori Identity Trust
The Hokotehi Moriori Trust values the revitalisation and growth of our culture, language and identity. Through Te Keke Tura Moriori Identity Trust (TKT), we offer financial support for education, projects, and initiatives that promote the TKT objectives and align with our cultural strategy.
The TKT objectives are:
To rebuild, reclaim and revive Moriori culture, heritage and identity
To promote better understanding and educational awareness among Moriori and the wider community of Moriori culture, heritage and identity
To promote and foster a better understanding of the Moriori legacy of peace
Registered members and their tchimirik may apply to the trust for funding and support for projects which meet the eligibility criteria.

Rangata Mātua Advisory Council
The council’s primary purpose is to provide advice and consultation to the Hokotehi Moriori Trust board on matters relevant to the welfare and interests of our rangata mātua. If you’d be a good representative for our rangata mātua, express your interest below.

Rangatehi Komiti
The purpose of the komiti is to provide insights about the concerns and needs of Moriori rangatehi, recommend appropriate action, and voice these concerns, needs and recommendations to the Hokotehi Moriori Trust board.

Hokopapa Unit
The primary purpose of the Hokopapa Unit is to work alongside the Rangata Mātua Advisory Council and undertake research to establish and maintain a single united voting register of persons of Moriori descent and to report and make recommendations to the Trust Board on whether any person(s) satisfy the hokopapa principles and criteria. We’re seeking a motivated and capable Executive Assistant To play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of the Hokotehi Moriori Trust. They will provide comprehensive administrative support to the senior management team.
